Hey musician friends! Have you ever noticed the sort of irregular pattern of numbers on a real legit metronome? At first glance you're like "it goes by 4's" but then upon closer inspection you see an odd pattern. 50, 52, 54, 56...63, 69, etc. sometimes 4's and 2's and 6's....what is this about? What does it all mean?! Are these the frequencies at which the earth vibrates? Is this a cosmic happy accident? Modern computers can set tempos of 73.5 beats per minute....but should you? Are all pre-computer recordings at or near these tempos? Do our brains crave these numbers? Are we put off by tempos outside of that pattern? Or are we more excited by weird ones? All these questions, as we embark on another Cosmic recording journey. Finally get to lay down some studio versions of some long overdue tunes. For those that speak the cosmic language, we're going to Fly and scream at the Top of Our Lungs, and shout I'm a Fiend For You and You're The Best Thing That's Happened To Me. Hopefully we won't wake up and realize it was all Just a Dream and have to get back to work with our Muscles and Shovels. #cosmic #metronome #shovel #raleigh #cosmiclaboratory #recording #record #cd #itunes #spotify #topofourlungs #fiend #fly #bigtime #studio #vibrations #vibrate #earballs
